This is excalty my life and I have no help, I’ve gone to the doctors and they have just put me on anti depressants, I have adhd and being bored all the time I turn to it I struggle with everyday life I hide it well, youre story has decided to help me get clean, it to easy with temptation everywhere you turn, I struggle with family life and I have been sexually assaulted I watched my uncle die and my auntie and uncle all through Covid and that fucking jab fuck all the people saying it was safe my dad is now suffering with it he had a stroke after the booster, I know picture my dad where my dead uncle was looking asleep but brain dead, o see my dad in my dreams on the same bed it’s fucking destroying me I want to quit I’m in debt, I’m a veteran. To and I don’t know how to handle emotions becasue they was destroyed out of me when I was a 16 year old soldier taught to kill, no emotions I struggle and struggle with no where to turn, 😞

Schools should stagger finish times for each year group to avoid congestion as well as bad parking. Unfortunately our roads where not designed for the amount of overcrowding we have to deal with in our country now. Roads overcrowded, schools overcrowded and both underfunded

Vote against the plan, stop the building on greenbelt! We the residents of the local area appealed, yet once again those who make decisions don't give a care in the world what we have to put up with. Seriously, we have pot holes 30cm wide on mort lane, pot holes wide enough to plant a border in and deep enough for a tree to take root but can we get them fixed? No. How about, you Wigan council actually take head of what your own damn resisdents are saying, let alone what we are paying for because soon enough time will come we stop paying for no services, I've had enough of paying a stupid ammount per year for 'waste collection, adult services, police', can we ever actually see or use them as intended? No. Have you ever tried to get a police response lately, you'll be lucky for one to ring you up let alone turn out. Time this council was disbanded, all funds where correctly allocated and those fat cats who so called run it where held to account. Money is exchanging hands somewhere and its blatently obvious.

Thanks for that. Not easy to speak about your personal experiences and views. As illustrated, our memories of the Casino are personal to ourselves. Our age, where we lived, our mates, our stage of learning to dance and live life. For me it was a world of older, friendly, soul individuals to look up to and the buzz was, and still is, unrivalled. Amazing how this music never had ( did it..? ) the exposure or popularity in the south as it did in the north of England. I used to go to Alldayers and all-nighters in Stoke, Manchester, Preston, Leeds, Nottingham and Stoke. This genre was never played at the clubs I would frequent. I remember Richard Serling, Mike Shaft and Colin Curtis as being the top deejays to hear so I was told. It was not until years later that I realised that Northern Soul was exclusively played north of Watford… I am a Londoner who travelled up and down the country in the early 80s to mid 90s When i finally went abroad and started deejaying with people in France, Spain and Italy they regularly asked for Northern Soul music to be played. Fast forward to 2023, and this genre is still alive and thriving.

Sadly missed the chance of going to the Casino, I started my journey at Top of the World Stafford. Soulies are so passionate about their music. It becomes part of you.
